COLOUR INFORMATION
Our colour is 100% natural food dyed food grade corn starch. We suggest wearing bandanas, glasses or goggles if you’re worried about getting colour in your mouth or eyes.
COURSE DISTANCE
Our course is approximately 3km. It is flat and suitable for all ages and abilities. The more time you take, the more fun it'll be.
WHEELCHAIRS AND PRAMS
Our event is wheelchair and pram friendly. There is a mixture of concrete and grass tracks, all flat.
WHAT AGE DO YOU HAVE TO BE?
This event is suitable for all ages. You can bring your little ones along for the ride in prams. Just be aware that they could get colour on them and covering your pram will help prevent this. However, rest assured the colour is non toxic.
ARE SPECTATORS ALLOWED AT EVENT?
Absolutely, however spectators will have to stay in the finish festival during the event. There will be colour packets available for purchase at $4 each or 3 for $10.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY TICKET PRICE?
Your ticket includes entry to the brightest run in the world. A free t-shirt and colour packet to use at the finish festival. (you will receive a wrist band and must wear these during the event)
DRESSING UP
We love dress ups. Tutu's, wigs, bright pops of colour are all fun ways to brighten the day. We have spot prizes for best dressed too!
FREE T-SHIRTS
You will receive a free Colour Dash t-shirt with your purchased ticket. When you pick up your registration pack, we will do our best to provide you with your t-shirt size, however it will be on a first come, first served basis due to varied stock availability in different sizes. We have XS to XL. Pick up at Trustpower Baypark - Saturday 2:00pm-6:00pm or Sunday 9:30am-11:00am.
CAN I TAKE PHOTOS?
Of Course! Capture the moment but if bringing a camera or phone, we suggest wrapping them in cling wrap or putting them in a plastic bag to keep them safe from the colour dust.
We will also have a photographer and these photos will be available on our Facebook event after the event.
More FM will also have their famous 'photo wall' at the finish line.
PETS
Sorry our furry friends will have to stay home, we do not allow dogs or other animals at the event.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER?
Colour Dash is just as fun in the rain, so a little drizzle won't stop us dashing. However, if there are serious weather warnings then the event will be postponed and further information will be emailed to those registered.
PREPPING YOUR HAIR
Using oil in your hair will stop the colour from sticking in your hair and will be easier to wash out. The colour does wash out, but for blondes using oil will help.
You could also wear a hair covering such as a bandana.
IS THERE FOOD?
Yes, there will be a selection of food vendors at the event. Bring along cash or eftpos to purchase.
WATER
There will be a water fill up station in the Colour Dash Finish Festival hub. We ask that you bring your own drink bottle, to help reduce waste.
Note: On the run there might be some water squirted about which makes the colours even more vibrant... but avoid if you don’t want to get wet.
IS COLOUR DASH TIMED?
Our dash is not timed, in fact, the longer you take, the more fun you will have.
CAN I DO THE RUN IF I'M PREGNANT?
Our colour dust is 100% cornflour and food colouring dye. It is non toxic and is safe. If you're worried, we recommend wearing a bandana or other face covering. We know our own body's best so participating is at your discretion.
