•The rights to Colour Dash NZ are held by Michelle Whitmore (shown on right soon after “Colour Dashing” in Arizona with her 1985 Rotary Youth Exchange host parents in January 2014).
•Michelle loved her experience in the US so much that on returning home she wrote to the US parent company, secured the rights and then underwrote the 2014/2015 Dash Down Under series.
•In recognition of the $75,000 raised for RMH in 2014, Michelle was named as a finalist for Bay of Plenty Person of the Year 2014 (her nomination also incorporated her community service as a Rotarian, plus she serves as Chair on a local Breast Cancer Support Trust, and as a trustee for Creative Tauranga and the Papamoa Surf Club New Building Trust).
•Michelle has a personal connection with Ronald McDonald House (in December 2000 her 3 day old son was admitted to the Oncology Ward of Starship Hospital with suspected cancer; fortunately the prognosis was incorrect but this experience left an indelible memory for Michelle and seeded a long-held desire to give back).
Michelle readily acknowledges that she could not have achieved this success without the input of her tremendous team.
